Teamspeak Migration Information NYC, Chicago, Atlanta - Completed
UPDATE - 7/28/2010 12:23AM - Chicago has been migrated and is up and running.
UPDATE - 7/28/2010 11:49AM - NYC and Atlanta have been migrated. We're working on an issue with Chicago and hope to have everything completed in under 30 minutes.
PLEASE READ - Important Migration Information!
As part of our commitment to provide a reliable and quality service, we have a few more infrastructure upgrades which we will be performing at our Chicago, New York City, and Atlanta locations. The new hardware we will be adding will ensure that all our clients experience the very best in their Teamspeak experience.
For each location upgrade, we will be migrating to new IP addresses.
If you connect to your server using a custom hostname created from within your control panel or one of the default hostnames given to you at sign-up such as ts30.bargainvoice.com, ts10.bargainvoice.com, or atl01.bargainvoice.com then YOU DO NOT NEED TO MAKE ANY CHANGES.
If you connect to your server using the IP address (example, 216.86.151.97) you will need to use the recommended hostname or new IP address listed below for your location. YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE!
All servers will be migrated at 10AM EST on 7/28. We expect the servers to be offline for no longer then a few minutes.
We always recommend using the hostname to connect to your server instead of the IP address.
Chicago - ts30.baraginvoice.com or 173.208.120.10
New York City - ts10.bargainvoice.com or 173.208.45.194
Atlanta - atl01.bargainvoice.com or 174.34.162.146
We understand that DNS changes take time to propigate and to communicate with your users if needed, we will be setting up IP forwarding on the original servers to point to the newly migrated servers to prevent downtime for a few days after the migration occurs to give users time to change. This means that if you connect to the old IP address it will connect you to the new server instead of giving you connection errors. This is a temporarily measure only.
If you have any questions, please open a support ticket.
Thank you,
