How do I connect to my Teamspeak server?

Connecting to your server is easy, just follow the below steps.

1) Launch your Teamspeak client, open the menu "Connection" and press "Connect".

2) If this is your first time using Teamspeak, your local addressbook will be empty but we are going to add a server. Press your right mouse button in the white left section and click on "Add server". You can name the server anything you like. After that, the "Label" shows your previous chosen name.

3) Now fill in the server address with the information provided from your new user email or package details, this may either be an IP address or a custom hostname if configured in the Teamspeak control panel. You will also need to enter in the port number for your server. The format of the Teamspeak server address should look something like this teamspeak1.bargainvoice.com:8767.

4) Now choose a nickname and fill in the "Nickname" field. You must fill in a nickname unless you checked the "Allow server to assign nickname" box in which case you will get a name like "Guest1".

5) If the server is password protected you need to fill the appropriate one in at the "Password" field. If you are bugged by time-outs (unwanted disconnects from the server) check the "Auto-reconnect" box.

6) If you've created a custom username through the Teamspeak control panel you may fill the login information out in the username and password field and check the "Registered" option.

7) Next hit the "Connect" button, you should be instant connected to your server.
